Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board Announces its new Director of Education

Lori Di Castri, Chair of the Board, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment. "We are thrilled to welcome Karyn to her new role. Her deep commitment to faith-based education and proven leadership with the BGCDSB will be invaluable as we move forward with our strategic goals. This is a very exciting time for the board, and we are confident that Karyn’s skill set will complement and continue the excellent work already in progress while bringing her own dynamic energy to the board.”

Outgoing Director Gary O'Donnell, who has served the Board for the past 5 years, also commented on the transition. "It has been an honour to be part of the Bruce-Grey Catholic community, and I am delighted that Karyn will be the next Director of Education. Her vision, experience, and passion for Catholic Education aligns perfectly with our Board’s Mission and Vision. I am excited for Karyn and our Catholic School District and look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish."

Karyn has a deep background in curriculum, special education and educational leadership, serving as a Supervisory Officer with BGCDSB. She is looking forward to working closely with teachers, staff, students, trustees, parishes and the entire community to ensure a seamless transition and to start the school year with enthusiasm and a clear focus on excellence in Catholic education.
